Marc Taddei

Conductor Marc Taddei begins his 18th season as Music Director of Orchestra Wellington in 2024. During his tenure, critics and the public alike have remarked on his extraordinary audience connection and zest for creating engaging and innovative programmes.

Marc is also the Music Director of the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra in San Francisco. He is a frequent guest conductor in Australia, as well as for every professional orchestra in New Zealand.

Marc has worked with major international artists as diverse as Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Anne Sofie von Otter, Julian Lloyd Webber, Diana Krall, Art Garfunkel and Kenny Rogers among many others, and his discography includes more than 35 recordings.

Marc is a graduate of the Julliard School in Manhattan, where he received both Bachelors and Masters degrees before moving to New Zealand. He divides his time between Queenstown, Wellington and San Francisco.
