Conducted by Orchestra Wellington’s Music Director Marc Taddei, together we will rehearse then perform a selection of pretty epic music including selections from Peer Gynt, O Fortuna, and Toku Reo!
Our 2026 Big Bash will be on Sunday 4 October at the Lower Hutt Events Centre. Rehearsal runs from 1-3pm with the concert starting at 3:30pm. Anyone is welcome to come along and watch both the rehearsal and the performance entirely for FREE.
First held in 2020, Orchestra Wellington’s Big Bash is an annual mass play-in event which brings together hundreds of musicians from across the Wellington region in a glorious afternoon of music-making.
