NOTICE OF VENUE CHANGE: Venue changed to St Andrew's on the Terrace.

We’ll be hosting an intimate violin and viola recital of international talents Benjamin Baker and Yura Lee at one of Wellington's best-known chamber music venues in the heart of the CBD. Our recent venue change to St Andrew's on the Terrace has opened up more seats than originally planned for this concert, which we are rather excited about!

Opening with Chicago composer Augusta Read Thomas’ Double Helix, this programme explores how two equal spirits intertwine, navigating a shared musical journey like a spiraling helix. International award-winning violin and viola soloist Yura Lee joins AWE Artistic Director Benjamin Baker for an intimate exploration of both instruments — together and apart — through works by Bach, Ysaÿe, Martinů, and Mozart, interwoven with music from Aotearoa by John Psathas and Salina Fisher.

Doors open 5.15pm, concert begins at 6pm. Approx end time 7pm. Venue: St Andrew's on the Terrace, Wellington.

This event is presented in partnership with the AWE Festival.
